Baker Hughes, GE to weigh up LNG plant job in Italy

BHGE will work with Italian natural gas infrastructure company Snam to work out whether it will be feasible to build four small-scale liquefaction plants.

They would be the first micro-LNG plants in Italy.

They could produce 140,000 tonnes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) or bio-LNG in total, further enhancing the Italian production of renewable natural gas with zero carbon dioxide emissions for the transport sector.

OMV Petrom selects Connected Plant from Honeywell

Honeywell today announced that OMV Petrom S.A. will use Honeywell Connected Plant  to provide prescriptive monitoring of its CCR Platforming™ unit at its Petrobrazi refinery in Ploiesti, Romania. The CCR Platforming process upgrades low-value naphtha into high-octane gasoline and aromatics.

OMV will use the Honeywell Connected Plant’s Process Insight Reliability Advisor to continuously feed plant data through Honeywell UOP process and fault models, and to provide key performance information and process recommendations. Honeywell’s Reliability Advisor will help the plant run more smoothly and mitigate issues that impact production and plant profitability by detecting and analyzing problems before they occur...

ExxonMobil CEO Darren Woods Highlights Growth Plans and Advances in Lower-Carbon Solutions

 

ExxonMobil plans to more than double earnings potential by 2025 while addressing the risks of climate change through continued research into breakthrough lower-carbon technologies, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Darren Woods told shareholders during the company's annual meeting today.
