ADNOC and Cepsa Sign Project Development Agreement for New LAB Facility in Ruwais

 

The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) today announced it has signed a project development agreement with Cepsa of Spain for a new, world-scale Linear Alkylbenzene (LAB) facility in ADNOC’s refining and petrochemicals complex in Ruwais, UAE. Statoil Officially Changes Name To Equinor

After announcing its intention earlier in the year, Norwegian multinational oil and gas company Statoil has today officially changed its name to Equinor after the company’s annual general meeting approved the name change on Tuesday.

Energy companies and utilities around the world are looking to not only transition away from reliance on fossil fuels, but are also looking to ensure that the world knows they are doing so. In October of 2017, Danish energy giant DONG Energy announced that it would change its name to Ørsted, and in late March Swedish power company Vattenfall made the cosmetic decision to change its logo...

Russia, Austria review fate of Nord Stream 2 pipeline

May 16 (UPI) -- Progress on the second phase of the Nord Stream pipeline to Europe was the focus of talks with Austrian energy company OMV, Russia's Gazprom said.

Carbon Holdings to Start Tahrir Petrochemicals Complex End of 2018

 

Carbon Holdings will start constructing the Tahrir petrochemicals complex by the end of 2018, according to Amwal Al Ghad.

Around $10 billion will be invested into the construction of the complex, Karim Helal, the company’s chairman, announced.

Tahrir Petrochemicals Complex is forecasted to be the largest facility of its kind in Egypt, exporting up to 25% of the country’s total oil and non-oil exports. The complex is planned to be established on a 5 million m2 area close to Ain Sokhna Port...

Rosneft starts drilling offshore production wells in Vietnam

Hanoi, May 15 - Neftegaz.RU. Rosneft Vietnam has started drillling of LD-3P (Lan Do field) production well as part of Block 06.1 development. Rosneft acts as an operator of this project which proves high level of its competencies in implementation of complex offshore drilling programs that are technically challenging.

Target depth of the well is about 1200 m along the well bore, sea depth at the drilling site is around 160 meters. As estimated Lan Do field has initial natural gas reserves of 23 billion cubic meters. Underwater infrastructure objects will be built and connected to operating offshore objects of Block 06.1 (Lan Tay platform) in order to develop additional reserves of the field...
